Have you updated your Aadhaar card yet? UIDAI has good news for you. You can update your Aadhaar online on the MyAadhaar portal.

 

Have you updated your Aadhaar card yet? The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has once again extended the deadline to update Aadhaar card details for free. Three more months left.

 

In fact, UIDAI had initially given a deadline of December 15, 2024, to update the Aadhaar card for free. The deadline was later extended to March 14 and then to June 14. This means that you can update your Aadhaar card for free. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has extended the deadline to complete Aadhaar card updation without fee till September 14.

At present, it is free to update Aadhaar card online on the MyAadhaar portal for another three months, but for offline updates, a fee of Rs 50 will have to be paid.

Until September 14, changes such as name, address, photo and other details can be updated for free on the online portal of the UIDAI website.

How to update Aadhaar card details for free?

 

 

Step 1: Go to https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in and enter your 16-digit Aadhaar number to access the Aadhaar website.

 

Step 2: Complete the captcha in the space provided.

 

Step 3: Enter the OTP that was texted to your registered phone number.

 

Step 4: Select "Update Document" from the ensuing screen. The current details of the Aadhaar user will be displayed.

 

Step 6: To change the information, upload the required files.

 

Step 7: After updating the Aadhaar, make sure everything is correct and click "Submit."

 

Step 8: The update request will be received after a 14-digit Update Request Number (URN) is created.

 

Step 9: Save the URN number in case you need it later.
