Andy Murray and Stefanos Tsitsipas will play to a conclusion on Friday after play was suspended due to the Wimbledon curfew with the Briton leading 6-7(3) 7-6(2) 6-4.
Long into the evening in London, Murray's match on Centre Court got underway as Liam Broady defeated Casper Ruud in five sets.
For the first two sets, there wasn't much of a difference between the two, as they split the two tie-breaks. However, Tsitsipas' level slipped at the beginning of the third set, and Murray capitalised with the lone break of the match thus far to advance against the No. 5 seed.

Don't tell me the result! is Wawrinka's rallying cry during the first Djokovic match on grass.
The Greek held to love in order to force Murray to hold and send the opening set to a tie-break as the Brit struggled to affect Tsitsipas' serve.
By evading second serves and launching thunderous forehands, Tsitsipas increased the pressure.
Murray attempted to establish a set point with a failed challenge after another forehand at deuce landed on the outside of the line.
The break-point threat was thwarted by a brilliant serve and a precisely hooked forehand into Tsitsipas' forehand wing as Murray continued to hold to push the opening set to a breaker.

Before Tsitsipas received the mini-break, the first six points were served with no breaks. Murray appeared to be in control of the game, but the situation changed when Tsitsipas received the ball on his forehand and delivered a crushing smash to open the play. Tsitsipas went on to win the next point on Murray's serve to take the opening set.
Similar to the first set, the second set ended in a tie-break as neither player had many issues with their serves.
A surprising forehand mistake from Tsitsipas gave two-time Wimbledon champion Murray the early advantage and a mini-break.
When Murray got a look at Tsitsipas' second serve at 4-2, he punished it to force the error and two strong first serves helped him expand his lead.

Murray maintained his composure, and a magnificent first serve finished the set at the first opportunity to tie the match.

The crowd erupted in jubilant cheers, but there was also a growing knowledge that the match would have to be extended due to the curfew at Wimbledon, which is 11 p.m.
At the conclusion of the second set, Tsitsipas took a protracted toilet break, which brought to mind their contentious matchup at the US Open in 2021.

The break did not benefit the Greek because Murray earned the match's first break in the first game.
As Murray threw up break points in the fourth game, cries of "focus" erupted from his mouth, but he resisted them to maintain his lead in the third set.
Murray's concentration was unwavering as he held his ground on serve and won the third set, albeit with a dramatic scream of pain as he slipped over behind the baseline.

He got up after lying on the ground for a while, put down a powerful serve to end the set, and then picked himself up.
At 10:39 p.m., Murray finished the third set, and the referee entered the court to declare the game over.
They will conclude on Friday, which presents a challenge to the administrators who must fit it into a jam-packed Centre Court timetable.
