  An update on the dispute between US short seller Hindenburg and India's Adani         According to the Indian securities regulator, Hindenburg and another party planned to short the Adani Group.   Hindenburg Research was charged by the Indian Securities Commission of collaborating with a US asset manager to get confidential information for the purpose of constructing a short position on Adani Group in the previous year. In India, this would have been illegal if verified. These assertions have been denied by Hindenburg Research. Hindenburg posted a 46-page "show cause" letter containing the allegations from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) on its website on Monday.  Penna Cement will be purchased by Ambuja Cements for Rs 10,422 crore.     In Rajasthan, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh, PCIL has a 14 million tonne per annum (MTPA) capacity (under construction). Ambuja Cements' total capacity will rise to 89 MTPA as a result of the acquisition.   The Adani Group-owned Ambuja Cements declared on Thursday that it had completed an agreement to purchase Hyderabad-based Penna Cement Industries Ltd. (PCIL) for an approximate sum of Rs 10,422 crore. Ambuja Cements intends to purchase every stake that P. Pratap Reddy and his family currently own in PCIL.   Internal accruals will be used to finance the purchase.       In Rajasthan, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh, PCIL has a 14 million tonne per annum (MTPA) capacity (under construction).
