It is special that Ras, who made this discovery which is beneficial to all mankind, was born on this day in 1857 in Almora in Uttaranchal state of India. His father, General Ras, was a senior officer in the British Army. Later, Renald returned to England for education at the age of eight. Although it is true that Ras made such an important discovery and for that he also received the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 1902, his original pen was literature and poetry writing.
