a second yellow card two minutes later for a risky tackle on the opposing
goalkeeper. Al Hilal, with nine men, relied on its bench strength to withstand
extra time and draw penalties, while Al Nassr failed to capitalise on its lead.
Ruben Neves and Alex Telles both missed their teams' first
penalties, but Ronaldo and Mitrovic came up with the saves to keep the
scoreboard ticking over. Waleed Abdullah, the second keeper for Al Nassr, gave
his team the lead when he stopped Saud Abdulhamid's sudden death penalty.
To preserve his team's hopes, Bounou stepped up once more and stopped Ali Al Hassan's penalty. The next penalty for Al Hilal was easily scored by Nasser Al Dawsari, and Bounou completed a fantastic evening by stopping a penalty taken by rookie Meshari Al-Nemer to win the game.
