Paytm stock has gained 9% based on Vijay Shekhar Sharma's $100 valuation.   9/7/2024, The payment app is facing difficulty because its partner Paytm Payments Bank Ltd (PPBL) is bound by strict regulations implemented by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).   "My goal is to grow (Paytm) into a $100 billion Indian business," founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma said in a lighthearted conversation on July 6 at an event in Gurugram. Paytm's parent company, One 97 Communications, saw an almost 9% increase in shares on July 8th, when CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma declared that his company's goal is to become a "$100 billion company".   The company's market capitalization has dropped to about $3.5 billion as a result of the central bank's crackdown on its subsidiary Paytm Payments Bank, therefore it will be difficult for it to achieve the same.
