Pradhan Mantri's Public Health Information about Mahatma Jyotirao Phule's Jan Arogya Yojana First phase of the initiative was implemented on July 2, 2012,
in eight districts of the state: Gadchiroli, Amravati, Nanded, Solapur, Dhule, Raigad, suburban Mumbai, and Mumbai city.
The Government of Maharashtra has made this scheme state-wide since November 21, 2013. This scheme was started on July 2, 2012, under the name of Rajiv Gandhi Jeevandayai Yojana, and by the government decision dated April 13, 2017, it has been approved to continue under the name of Mahatma_phule_prime_minister_health_scheme.
Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Public Health —
Jan Arogya Yojana. From September 23, 2018, Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Public Health Jan Arogya Yojana is being implemented jointly with Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Jan Arogya Yojana. From April 1, 2020, the revised integrated Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Jan Arogya Yojana and Pradhan Mantri public health Jan Arogya Yojana scheme will be implemented in the state by the United India Insurance Company selected through e-tendering.
OBJECTIVE:
To provide the people of the state with access to quality healthcare facilities for the treatment of critical illnesses completely free of charge through accredited hospitals for specialist in-service packages.
Beneficiary:
mahatma_phule_prime_minister_health_scheme Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Public Health, Jan Arogya Yojana:
▪️Category A: Families holding Yellow, Antyodaya Food Yojana, Annapurna Yojana, and Orange (annual income up to Rs. 1 lakh) ration cards distributed by the Food Urban Supply Department.
▪️Category B: All the districts of Aurangabad and Amravati Division and Wardha of Nagpur Division are the beneficiaries of the scheme.
▪️Category C: Students of Government Ashram Schools, Women of Government Ashrams, Children of Government Orphan Ashrams, Senior Citizens of Government Old Age Homes, Journalists and their families as per the criteria of the Information and Public Relations Office, as well as construction and other construction workers and their families as determined by the Labour Department, are also beneficiaries of the scheme.
Pradhan Mantri Public Health, Jan Arogya Yojana:
83.72 lakh families are beneficiaries of the scheme as per the criteria set for rural and urban areas in the Social, Economic, and Caste Census of 2011 (SECC 2011). Aarogya Mitra: Aarogya Mitra is available in all accredited hospitals. Arogya Mitra registers the patient online under the scheme and provides appropriate support and assistance while undergoing treatment in the hospital.
Patient Registration:
Patients are registered through Arogya Mitra. At the time of patient registration, the patient's name is verified against his identity card. The list of documents accepted as identity proof is available on the
website www.jeevandayee.gov.in.
mahatma_phule_prime_minister_health_scheme. Treatment Preauthorization: In this process, documents are verified on a computerised system to approve treatment. A package-wise list of required documents is available on the website. Proposals rejected for approval are referred to the Technical Committee.
The Chief Medical Officer of the insurance company and the Chief Medical Advisor of the State Health Assurance Society make decisions in the technical committee. In cases of discrepancies in their decision, such cases are referred to the Assistant Director of the State Health Assurance Society for final approval. This process is expected to be completed within 12 hours.
Emergency Telephonic Intimation (ETI) is taken by hospitals in emergency cases. In such cases, patients are required to submit a valid ration card within 120 hours (5 working days).
Public health: hospitals included in the scheme: Government/semi-government, private, and charity hospitals with more than 30 beds have been selected in this scheme, subject to certain criteria. Beneficiaries can seek treatment at any accredited hospital in the state as per their wishes. At present, 973 private and government hospitals are enrolled in the scheme.
NABH Grading: Representatives of insurance companies, TPAs, and state health assurance societies conduct NABH grading of hospitals. The system of grading through examination has been developed jointly by the Department of Public Health and State Health Assurance Societies with the approval of the Quality Council of India, NABH.
It has 85 ratings under nine main components, awarded according to their claims based on the rank obtained after testing. 3 categories A (100%), B (90%), and C (80%) are applicable to multi specialty hospitals, and two categories A (100%) and B (90%) are applicable to single specialty hospitals.
The grade given after the NABH inspection is valid for 6 months, and after that, the hospital is given an opportunity to improve the grade through re-examination. Treatments covered under the scheme: Under the scheme, 996 treatments and surgeries and 121 follow-up services are included under the Mahatma Jyotirao Phule public health scheme under 34 specialist services.
Whereas 1209 treatments and 183 follow-up services are included under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. Beneficiaries under the combined scheme are eligible for general surgery, eye surgery, gynaecological surgery, orthopaedic surgery, cardiac surgery and treatment, and gastric and intestinal.
