All US consumers can now use Amazon's shopping chatbot, Rufus, using the company's mobile app, the company announced on Friday. The chatbot can summarise consumer reviews, compare products, and respond to product-related queries. According to Amazon, it can also respond to inquiries concerning orders, such as when products are expected to arrive.
According to Amazon, Rufus has been educated using data from other websites as well as its own product catalogue and feedback. After launching the chatbot in February, the business has been gradually expanding its availability.
With Rufus, Amazon has most obviously incorporated generative artificial intelligence into their online store. The company has also been creating AI services for merchants, like programs that write product descriptions and produce images and videos for advertisements.
