Crowdstrike-related Windows 10 BSOD stopped at recovery, but there is a workaround

19/7/2024,

On Windows 10, several media outlets, tech firms, and academic institutions are reported seeing the Blue Screen of Death. Computers are being stopped at the "Recovery" screen, which says, "Windows appears to have not loaded correctly." Select Restart my PC from the menu below if you want to restart and try again.

The Crowdstike upgrade is to blame for the widespread Windows 10 BSOD outage.

Restart your computer in Safe mode, rename the crowdstrike folder from c:\windows\system32\drivers\crowstrike to something else, and try again if you're trapped in a Blue Screen of Death or Recovery loop.

This will resolve the Blue Screen of Death problem.

Following our discovery of the reports, Crowdstike provided us with the following statement: I hope to see you all soon! BSODs on Windows hosts occurring on different sensor versions have been reported on several occasions. investigating the cause. TA will be available shortly.
