Terrorists opened fire on a bus carrying pilgrims on Sunday, resulting in about 33 injuries and 10 fatalities. The bus in Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi area plunged into a steep gorge when militants opened fire. According to officials, the event happened on Sunday night when the bus was travelling back to Katra from the Shiv Khori temple in Reasi.

According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Reasi Mohita Sharma, the bus crashed down a ravine as a result of the driver losing balance as a result of the gunfire. She said that the passengers weren't from the area and that their identities weren't yet known.

The conclusion of the rescue operation was also stated by SSP Sharma. By 8:10 p.m., the police had evacuated every passenger with the assistance of residents who were at the scene of the accident. The 33 wounded were referred to different medical facilities in Jammu, Treyath, and Reasi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi assessed the situation on the ground while speaking with J&K LG Manoj Sinha.

"After taking stock of the situation, PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji has instructed me to keep a close eye on it. This horrible act's perpetrators will all shortly face consequences.

The Office of LG J&K stated in a post on X that "Hon'ble PM has also directed that all the injured receive the best medical care and assistance."

Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, also provided an update on the situation in Reasi. The Union Home Minister stated in his post that the J&K local government is working on a "war footing" to give injured people emergency medical care. Additionally, he declared that no one would escape punishment for this attack on pilgrims.

Kangana Ranaut, who was just elected to the BJP, also expressed her condemnation of the terrorist incident, saying, "I strongly condemn the cowardly terrorist attack on the pilgrims in Reasi, Jammu and Kashmir." I offer prayers for the deceased and wish the wounded a speedy recovery."

"Cowardly Pakistani terrorists cannot face the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and our paramilitary forces," J&K BJP President Ravinder Raina said in response to the attack. The terrorists who committed this heinous act will bear a severe price for their actions."

A multi-pronged operation was initiated to apprehend the assailants after the Indian Army, CRPF, and police established a combined operation headquarters there.
