Terrorists attacked a 53-seater bus in Reasi at around 6:15 p.m. on Sunday, causing it to deviate off the path and plunge into a steep valley.

1) President Murmu demanded harsh censure, calling the incident a "crime against humanity." "The terrorist attack on a bus carrying pilgrims in Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi district pains me greatly.
This horrible act is a crime against humanity and ought to be condemned vehemently. The nation stands in solidarity with the families of the victims. "I pray for the injured people's quick recovery," she tweeted.
Prime Minister Modi instructed Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to monitor the situation and ensure that the affected families receive all the assistance they require.
"The Right Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi assessed the circumstances and gave me instructions to keep a close eye on things and make sure the families get all the help they need," Sinha wrote in a post on X.
3) The LG added that the perpetrators of the incident will soon face consequences as security personnel have joined forces to seek down the terrorists.
4) Reasi SSP Sharma verified the commencement of a rescue effort, transferring wounded pilgrims to adjacent medical facilities. Although the identities of the injured and dead have not yet been established, preliminary indications indicate that they are from Uttar Pradesh.
5) Amit Shah denounced the incident and emphasised that those who carried it out will suffer dire repercussions as soon as he took office as Union Minister. Shah added that in order to assess the situation, he had spoken with DGP RR Swain and LG Sinha.
6) Mamata Banerjee, the chief minister of West Bengal, expressed her sorrow over the killings and her sympathies to the families of the dead and urged an investigation into the tragedy. "I was informed that there had been an attack on a group of pilgrims in Jammu and Kashmir, resulting in nine fatalities. An investigation into the situation needs to be done right now. I send the families of the victims my sincere sympathies," she remarked.

8) Meanwhile, the opposition voiced their disapproval of the assault and targeted the BJP in particular. Congressman Rahul Gandhi tweeted, "This shameful incident is the true picture of the worrying security situation in Jammu and Kashmir."
9) Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge declared, "We unequivocally condemn this gruesome terror attack on our people and deliberate affront to our National Security."
10) The bus was hit by 25 to 30 gunshots, according to one survivor, before it fell into the gorge. Another witness observed an attacker wearing a mask and a red silencer shooting at the bus.
11) The SSP reported that the Shiv Khori temple area is on high alert, with regular patrols to dominate the area and Village Defence Guards practicing firing.
