Edible Culture - Dal Spinach
hello
Today let's see dal palak
Materials:
1 pair of parents
1/2 cup turmeric dal
1 medium finely chopped onion
1 tomato finely chopped
Chop 5-6 garlic cloves
1 tsp red chillies
1/4 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp cumin powder
Oil
Action:
1) Add water to the cooker and cook the dal. When the cooker cools down, sip the dal. Finely chop the spinach.
2)Heat a teaspoon of oil in a pan. Add the garlic to the batter. Saute the onion.
3) Saute onion for 2-3 minutes then add turmeric, red chillies, coriander-cumin seeds and saute.
4) Add soaked dal. Add salt, sugar and tomatoes and stir.
5) If the dal is too thick, thin it by adding a little water.
Keep boiling for 3-4 minutes.
6) Add chopped spinach and stir. Boil for 2-3 minutes.
7) Serve hot with dal palak rice or poli.
Note:
Amchur powder or tamarind can be added for sourness. If spinach is cooked in a cooker with pulses or added first, the green colour of the spinach will change and the vitamins will be reduced. If the dal-palak is made long before eating, keep it uncovered. That means the spinach colour will not change.
