Edible Culture - Fenugreek Malai Peas

Fenugreek Malai Peas

hello

If fenugreek and peas are seen in large quantities in the market, then let us see fenugreek malai matar today

Materials:

1 pair of fenugreek leaves only

1/2 cup peas

1 green chilli

1 onion paste

1 tablespoon of butter

2 black peppercorns

1 cardamom

1 small piece of cinnamon

1/2 cup milk

salt

Action:

1) Heat butter in a pan, add green chillies and saute for a few seconds. Then add pepper, cardamom and cinnamon sticks and saute until they smell nice.

2) Add onion paste to this mixture. Return to medium heat. When all the water in the onion is gone and the onion is cooked, add the washed and cleaned fenugreek leaves. Saute fenugreek on medium heat. Do not cover the kadai while cooking, fenugreek will change colour.

3) When the leaves are slightly cooked add peas and milk and cook on low flame. Add salt as per taste. Add 1 to 2 tbsp of cream and cook on low flame for some time.

This vegetable takes time to come together nicely so do not rush while cooking.

Note:

1) Ginger paste can be added to the batter as per choice. But it reduces the taste of fenugreek and the vegetable is not that tasty. The flavour of fenugreek goes away.

2) Fresh cream gives the vegetable a slightly sweet taste. But if you like, add a pinch of sugar.
