Ingredients
• 60g unsalted butter, softened at room temperature
• 60g caster sugar
• 1 egg
• 60g plain flour
• 1/4 tsp baking powder
• 1/4 tsp matcha powder, sifted
Action:
1. Set oven temperature to 170 degrees Celsius. Place parchment paper inside the baking pan.
2. Sift baking powder and regular flour, then set aside.
3. Using a mixer, cream butter until creamy. Then, gradually add caster sugar and beat until frothy and light.
4. Add the egg gradually while whisking to combine.
5. Add the baking powder and plain flour to the butter, sugar, and egg mixture gradually after one more sifting. Gently fold the batter.
6. Split the batter into two equal portions.
Pour one-half of the batter into the sifted matcha powder and mix well.
7. Use a spatula to transfer both batter halves to the baking pan to get the marbled appearance.
8. Simmer for 30 to 40 minutes.
