Hindi Movie - Madhubala was born on February 14, 1933 in a very poor Pashtun family in Delhi. Madhubala was the fifth of 11 children of her parents was a girl.

At that time she was noticed by Himanshu Rai and he gave her an opportunity as a child artist and hired her at five hundred rupees per month and she stepped on the screen as a child artist in the year 1942 in 'Basant'. For the first 5 years she worked as a child artist and also became the support of the family.


In the year 1947, when she was just 14 years old, she acted as Raj Kapoor's heroine in the  Hindi Movie - Neel Kamal directed by Kidar Sharma. This film introduced her beauty and acting to the film industry. Neelkamal, Sharabi, Mughal-e-Azam, Barsaat Ki Raat, Do Ustad Hawada Brij, Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi, Phagun, Paras, the list would be long, were successful only because of her acting and beauty.

In the 1950s, some of her films also failed. Because her father was her manager. To raise the family, the father would accept any film without scrutiny. The  Hindi Movie - 'Hanste Aansoo' released in the year 1950 was the first 'A' certificate from the Censor Board in the history of Bollywood. The objection was raised not for the scenes or the bold content, but for the title. The film, directed by KB Lal, had Motilal and  Hindi Movie - Madhubala in lead roles.

After the success of  Hindi Movie - 'Mahal', she never looked back. Madhubala acted in about 73 films in her career. She worked with the superstars of that era, Ashok Kumar, Rahman, Dilip Kumar, Devanand etc.

While visiting Mumbai for the International Film Festival, Academy Award-winning American director Frank Capra was keen to offer her a role in Hollywood, but her father Ataullah Khan refused. It didn't happen, but she grew closer on the sets of  Hindi Movie - 'Mughal-e-Azam' with Dilip Kumar.

 At that time, there was opposition from her family. Madhubala was diagnosed with a heart condition during the filming of  Hindi Movie - Mughal-e-Azam in 1950. Attempts were made to hide this matter but this matter was not hidden. However, she acted in many films for 9 years in the same condition.

In the year 1956, love grew with Kishore Kumar. In the year 1960, they got married. Madhubala received many proposals for marriage. But Madhubala chose Kishore Kumar. Kishore Kumar married her despite the idea of ​​her illness. 

Kishore Kumar converted to Islam to marry Madhubala and Kishore Kumar's name was Karim Abdul. Kishore Kumar knew that Madhubala wanted to get married before he died. Last 9 years fighting death in bed. He breathed his last on 23 February 1969.
