On World Music Day,
Mamata Banerjee makes a song.
The city celebrated World Music Day with considerable
fervor.
For this occasion, singer-politician Babul Supriyo has sang
a Bengali song written and arranged by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
"I join billions of music lovers worldwide today to
celebrate the universal language of music," Miss Banerjee stated in her
X-handle on World Music Day.
I believe that music transcends all geographical boundaries.
There has always been a special place in our hearts for
music. Its tune is a symbol of peace, love, and harmony. When I write songs and
compose music, I connect with the ageless essence of Bengal, which is expressed
in music to the greatest extent possible.
In the poem, Miss Banerjee says, "I believe I am alive.
Are you living too? That is the formula for surviving; let music be your tool
for life.
In celebration of World Music Day, Banglanatak.com and the
Ministry of Culture arranged an event at the Indian Museum's Ashutosh Birth
Centenary Hall.
On June 21 and 22, a Purulia-based Chhau dance troupe under
the direction of Biren Kalindi will take the stage at the Art and Life Festival
V UlicÃch Ostrava, a musical festival in the Czech Republic.
