A 72-year-old man was driving a fast Hyundai Santro on a
major crossroads without traffic signals when it collided with four bicyclists

Santro's driver and two other fatalities. CCTV footage of the horrifying crash

Today at 2:25 pm, Kolhapur city's Cyber Chowk crossroads saw
normal traffic. Without traffic signals, cars, trucks, and cyclists made their
way to the intersection. Three motorcycles were moving straight ahead, but a
fourth bike was crossing the intersection from right to left. At 2:26 pm, a
speeding Santro rammed the two-wheelers, throwing the riders and pillions
several feet away, visuals showed.
A man and woman on a bike miraculously escaped the crash by
a few inches as the car drove past their vehicle, ramming the motorists in
front of it before crashing into a parked vehicle on the other end of the road.
The horrifying post-crash visuals showed a man lifting a
child who was on the bike while the woman, who was riding pillion, needed help
to get up. At least three people were flung several feet away and a man was
seen lying on the road.
In the meanwhile, the vehicle struck a post by the sidewalk
and then struck a stalled car. Seconds after the impact, the Santo flipped to
its right. Images displayed onlookers rushing to assist the victims of the
horrifying vehicle accident.
According to the police, an investigation is underway. Six
people were hurt in the collision, and the car's driver also perished. The
victims' identities are still unknown.
