Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Monday, the eve of
Doctor's Day, that his government is fully committed to improving India's
healthcare system and ensuring that medical professionals get the public
acclaim they so well deserve.
The first of July is recognized as National Doctor's Day in
honor of Bidhan Chandra Roy, a well-known physician who also held the position
of chief minister for West Bengal. This day also marks the anniversary of Roy's
birth and death.
On this #DoctorsDay, greetings Modi said in a post on X. We
should honor the extraordinary commitment and kindness of our healthcare heroes
on this day. They have extraordinary ability to go over even the most difficult
challenges."
"Our Government is fully committed to improving the
health infrastructure in India and ensuring doctors get the widespread respect
they deserve," he stated.
The prime minister praised chartered accountants for their
"vital role" in establishing the nation's economic environment in
another post on X.
"Happy Day of Chartered Accountants! The way our
economy is shaped is greatly influenced by CAs. Both individuals and companies
may benefit from their experience and strategic ideas, according to Modi.
They also provide a substantial contribution to stability
and economic prosperity. They are equally essential to our financial security,
the speaker stated.
