Gladiator 2, directed by Ridley Scott, has Paul Mescal
reprising his legendary role as Maximus (trailer).
Two decades have elapsed since the events of the Russell
Crowe-starring original, and twenty-four years have gone by after the film's
premiere.
A teaser for the much-awaited Gladiator 2 sequel, directed
by Ridley Scott, was released in 2000.
The main character, played by Paul Mescal, is an adult
Lucius. He is the son of Lucilla (Connie Nielsen) and the nephew of Commodus
(Joaquin Phoenix in the first film). The movie is supposed to be released on
November 22.
The tale revolves around Lucius, who was played by Spencer
Treat Clark in the original movie, who was transported by his mother Lucilla to
the northern African area of Numidia to avoid the Roman Empire. However, the
events that are taking place force him to return to Rome as a gladiator.

The sequel to Ridley Scott's 2000 smash film, Gladiator 2,
has released a trailer to the public.
The film co-stars Pedro Pascal with Mescal. Denzel
Washington, Joseph Quinn, Fred Hechinger, Lior Reiss, Derek Jacobi and Nielsen
round out the rest of the cast.
The first film, Gladiator, starring Oliver Reed, Connie
Nielsen, Joaquin Phoenix, and Russell Crowe, came out 24 years ago.
Scott directed it, and on September 1, 2000, it was made
available.
Out of eleven nominations, the movie won five Oscars,
proving to be a huge hit.
Along with multiple BAFTA awards and two Golden Globes,
Gladiator also won several Academy Awards.
Before the trailer's premiere, Paramount Pictures unveiled
the film's first poster and look stills.
Gladiator 2 is slated to be released on November 15.
