KP Sharma Oli assumes office as Nepal's next prime minister;
PM Modi congratulates him on winning a fourth term.

For the fourth time, Mr. K P Sharma Oli took the oath of
office as prime minister of Nepal. Mr Oli was sworn into the Office and
Secrecy today at Rashtrapati Bhavan's main building, Shital Niwas, by President
Ramchandra Paudel.
President Ram Chandra Paudel also administered the oath of
office and secrecy to the newly appointed 21 ministers. The Oli-led cabinet now
includes ministers from the Loktantrik Samajbadi Party (LSP), JSP, NC, and UML.
Bishnu Prasad Paudel of the CPN-UML and Prakash Man Singh of the Nepali
Congress have been named deputy prime ministers.
Vice President Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav, Speaker of the House
of Representatives Devraj Ghimire, former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal
"Prachanda," and President of the Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba
were among the dignitaries in attendance at the swearing-in ceremony.
President Paudel appointed Mr. Oli as prime minister
yesterday in compliance with Article 76 (2) of the Nepalese Constitution.
Mr KP Sharma Oli has received congratulations from Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his selection as Nepal's prime minister. In his message, Mr Modi expressed his eagerness to collaborate closely to deepen the strong ties of friendship that exist between Nepal and India and to increase the scope of their mutually beneficial bilateral collaboration.
