Travel influencer Aanvi Kamdar drowns after falling into a valley that is 300 feet deep.
The Mumbai-born social media celebrity, 27, was spotted out and about during the monsoon season with seven friends. She fell into the deep ravine by the Kumbhe waterfall in Mangaon, Maharashtra, while filming reels.
Travel influencer Aanvi Kamdar, 27, of Mumbai, passed away after falling into a gorge while shooting an Instagram reel at the Kumbhe waterfall in the Raigad area of Maharashtra.
On July 16, Kamdar, a chartered accountant well known for her travel blog under the username @theglocaljournal, was among seven pals who were accessing the well-known website.
According to Mangaon police, Kamdar slipped and fell into a 300-foot gorge during filming. Her friends immediately notified the local authorities, who promptly set up a well-executed rescue operation. The Coast Guard, the Kolad rescue squad, and personnel of the Maharashtra State Electricity Board helped local officials save her.
The girl was injured, and even after they managed to save her, the rescue was challenging because of the heavy downpour. As soon as we arrived, we found that the girl had fallen between three hundred and three hundred feet." We decided to employ a vertical pulley to liberate her," a rescuer told NDTV.
After six hours of labour and despite the added difficulty of stones falling during the rescue attempt, Kamdar was eventually located. Despite the valiant attempt to save her life, the Mangaon police reported that she died from her wounds at the government hospital in Mangaon taluka.
Authorities have issued warnings to people who want to visit waterfalls during the rainy season, emphasising how important it is to remain safe in situations this dangerous.
