With the latest iOS 18 version, Apple iPhones can now record calls

30/7/2024,

How to utilise iPhones will be able to employ an additional set of functions with iOS 18.

One such feature is the ability to record calls without using a separate program.

Users who install the latest version of iOS 18 will see a recording option on the screen when a call is in progress.

September is drawing near, and with it the excitement and expectation around the release of iOS 18.

Apple has given us a sneak peek at what iOS 18 and Apple Intelligence have in store. With this, Apple will use artificial intelligence (AI) functions for the first time, having joined the party fairly late.

With iOS 18, iPhone users will have access to an expanded range of features.

Many people have remarked that Apple is giving iPhones a lot of Android capabilities with this latest version. Call recording without the need for an external app is one such functionality.

How can I use my iPhone to record calls?

After the user updates to iOS 18, a recording button will show up on the screen while a call is in progress. To start recording the discussion, the user needs to tap the button. It is also possible to see how long the call is that is being recorded.

Not only that, but users can also transcribe their calls when the call recording is recorded.

Users will be able to readily access the transcription in the future as it will be saved. Several languages will be supported, including Mandarin Chinese (Taiwan, China mainland), Japanese, Portuguese (Brazil), Cantonese (Hong Kong, China mainland), Spanish (Mexico, Spain, US), English (UK, US, India, Canada, Australia), and French.

It will be retained by the Apple Notes app. If you would prefer, you may also take it out of here. In the notes app, users can now view an AI-generated call summary.

For now, this feature is limited to the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models as well as the future iPhone 16 series. This function may be accessible on older versions as it does not require extensive Apple Intelligence capabilities.

Since we haven't seen this feature in the iOS 18 Beta, we are unsure of when it will truly appear.
