After a lengthy illness, Anshuman Gaekwad, the former head coach of India, passed away on Wednesday. Anshuman Gaekwad had endured a protracted battle with cancer.

 

 

He was too poor to pay for medical care.

 

In this case, the BCCI helped them. The BCCI secretary, Jay Shah, also conveyed grief over Anshuman Gaekwad's demise.

 

A cloud of dread has descended upon Indian cricket. Former India coach Anshuman Gaekwad passed away on Wednesday.

 

 

He breathed his last at the age of 71. Anshuman Gaekwad had been battling cancer for a long time. He was being treated at King's College Hospital in London.


BCCI secretary Jay Shah also condoled the death of Anshuman Gaekwad. Jay Shah wrote, "My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Shri Anshuman Gaekwad. It's heartbreaking for the entire cricket world. His soul rest in peace. 


He was suffering from blood cancer Gaikwad has been suffering from blood cancer for the last year. He was admitted to King's College Hospital in London. Sandeep Patil and another former India batsman Dilip Vengsarkar had met him. After meeting him, the duo asked the BCCI to help Anshuman. After this, the board helped Rs 1 crore for the treatment of Anshuman Gaekwad.


Former India opener Anshuman Gaekwad has been appointed as the head coach of the Indian cricket team. He played cricket for India from 1975 to 1987. He played 40 Tests and 15 ODIs for India. He was also the captain of the Indian cricket team. He has held the post twice. For the first time, he was the coach of the team from 1997 to 1999. In 2000, he again became the coach of the team.

Gaikwad scored 1985 runs in 40 Tests at an average of 30.07 in 70 innings. He has scored 2 centuries and 10 half-centuries. He also has 2 wickets to his name in the longest format of cricket.
