Telugu Desam Party : Declaring defeat after Chandrababu Naidu's
historic victory in Andhra Pradesh
With Chandrababu Naidu's Telugu Desam Party TDP joining the NDA alliance, the state of Andhra Pradesh is expected to be taken from Jagan Mohan Reddy's YSRCP. On June 9, Naidu is expected to take the oath of office as chief minister. Jagan Reddy admits defeat.

The leader of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Chandrababu
Naidu, is on his way to overthrowing the ruling Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress
Party (YSRCP), led by Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, in Andhra Pradesh.
Naidu leads the NDA alliance in the state together with the BJP and Pawan
Kalyan's Jana Sena Party.
With 67 seats won, the TDP leads in 68 of the 175 seats in
the Andhra Pradesh Assembly. The BJP has eight seats, and the Jana Sena Party
has twenty-one, bringing the total number of alliance members to 164. In 11
seats, the YSRCP is in the lead.
Sources told India Today that Naidu is expected to take the
oath of office as chief minister on June 9 in Amaravati.
After the outcome, Andhra Pradesh Governor S Abdul Nazeer
received a resignation from Jagan Reddy, who accepted the loss.
The departing chief minister added, "I don't know what
went wrong for us, but I sincerely served people," in a statement to the
media. I've offered the voiceless a voice. "Congratulations to all the
winners," the YSRCP leader remarked.
In order to assess the state of affairs, he also called a
conference of the YSRCP within.
Following the NDA alliance's outstanding success in Andhra
Pradesh, Chandrababu Naidu spoke with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Prime
Minister Narendra Modi. The leader of the TDP thanked Shah and PM Modi on the
alliance securing the most seats.
Chandrababu Naidu was also congratulated by PM Modi and
Shah, for which the TDP chief expressed gratitude.
India's Current Axis In the Andhra Pradesh assembly
elections, the NDA alliance was predicted by My India Exit Poll to achieve a
landslide victory, with the TDP, BJP, and JSP combination expected to secure
98–120 seats. The coalition led in 157 constituencies and had gained three
seats as of the time this report was written.
It was projected that the ruling YSRCP would win between 55
and 77 seats. The Election Commission released data showing that Jagan Mohan
Reddy's party is ahead in just 15 seats and has not yet won any.
The TDP ran candidates in 144 Assembly and 17 Lok Sabha
seats as part of the seat-sharing agreement, while the BJP entered candidates
in six Lok Sabha and ten Assembly seats. The Jana Sena Party ran candidates for
21 Assembly seats and two Lok Sabha seats.
The TDP, which had been dealt a crippling blow by a much
younger Jagan Reddy in the previous elections, made a tremendous recovery
according to the polls.
