The only part of the day that will be closed is the electronic gold receipts (EGR) and commodities derivatives segments, which will be closed from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

The money and financial markets, as well as the stock market, will be closed today in observance of Muharram. On Thursday, July 18, trading will restart in the forex market, the equity, derivatives, securities lending and borrowing (SLB), and currency derivative segments on the stock exchanges of the BSE and NSE.

The only part of the day that will be closed is the electronic gold receipts (EGR) and commodities derivatives segments, which will be closed from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

For these portions, trading will recommence in the evening session from 5:00 PM to 11:30 PM/11:55 PM.




What Time Will the Stock Market Open Again?
On July 18, the stock market will reopen for regular business, with a pre-opening session at 9:00 AM. The market will begin its normal operations at 9:00 AM after the pre-opening session, which lasts until 9:00 AM.

Due to the Muharram holiday, the stock market will not be open on July 27. There won't be a share market holiday in July 2024 after July 17th.
