The production-ready Curvv Coupe SUV was unveiled by Tata Motors and comes with an internal combustion engine or an electric motor.

The Curvv Coupe SUV was introduced by Tata Motors as an ICE and electric vehicle to take on major automakers.

 

Highlights include a streamlined look, higher riding height, many engine options, and two new colours.

 

Strict safety rules will be followed and opulent amenities will be featured inside.

 

Positioned to rival vehicles such as the Volkswagen Taigun, MG Astor, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Volkswagen Taigun, the Curvv creates a new sub-segment with its unique sloping roofline.

 

Following the August 7, 2024, launch of the electric version, the ICE version will go on sale in early 2025.

The Tata Curvv's design is mostly derived from its 2022 concept. The SUV coupe features a contemporary style that is similar to the most recent Nexon and Harrier updates.

 

A sleek LED light bar, dual headlights and distinctive LED daytime running lights (DRLs) define its front end. The car also has new alloy wheels, flush door handles and an LED light strip that connects the backlights. The SUV  has a notchback appearance because of its receding roofline and sloping rear windscreen, which are important highlights.

 

The Curvv's increased ride height and extra side cladding give it a sleek appearance and a strong presence.

 

Its balanced aspect is further enhanced by its high ground clearance. Two additional colours for the coupe SUV  will be available: Gold Essence for the Curvv ICE and Virtual Sunrise for the Curvv EV.

 

Powertrain Selections

Tata Motors has declared that there would be three powertrain options for the Curvv: petrol, diesel and electric. The ICE version is anticipated to arrive in early 2025, although the electric version will launch first. The Curvv is expected to come with a 1.5-litre diesel engine, an electric motor, and a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine, though exact engine specs are currently being kept under wraps.

 

With a 55–56 kWh battery, the EV should be able to go over 500 miles between charges.

The ICE model will come with options for both manual and automatic gears.

  

Insider Knowledge

Tata hasn't shown the interior in its entirety, but they have alluded to several upscale amenities.

 

These include multiple screens for the infotainment system and instrument panel, a panoramic sunroof, and connected car technology. The Curvv's interior is anticipated to be incredibly functional, satisfying the needs of Indian families with ample storage, premium materials, and several features often found in more costly vehicles.
